So I love this city.
Sometimes though, I forget to enjoy it…I mean really sink my teeth into it, enjoy it. Instead, I find myself in this zone, where I don’t look up from my feet when I’m in the streets (…promise I didn’t mean for that to rhyme).
There’s no where else in the world I’d rather live right now, but I know my love and fervor can get shrouded in the grind and claustrophobia that composes this city.
Working 5 days a week can drain a person (Vanessa I know you work six…I’m sorry), and I’m feeling the effects. At the end of the day, there’s just less energy to devote to creativity and initiative. It’s a scary thing.
That’s why it’s important for me to check in every once in a while and realize “oh right, I live in one of the most interesting cities in the world…I should be a contributing member”.
It’s a mental tune-up of sorts and I’m in dire need of one. I’ll let you know how that turns out..

Note: Runner up title for this post was: New York, I Love You…get it? right?
The only thing good about this post was that feets and streets rhyme and you still messed that up.
